Just some ramblings

I have a dold in my dose!!!!!!  And its driving me nuts!  And back to work tomorrow.  The  weekends just go too fast.  I have been reading some of the Journals in JLand.  I want to get up the nerve to make mine public, but is my life interesting enough for someone else to read??  And I wouldn't want any of my family or friends to come upon it.  Actually,  that would be a slim chance because none of them do much on the computer but read e-mail.  And Hubby (thats him over there on the couch)--->  only knows how to play cards.  What do I do on the puter??  Well,  I read my e-mail, usually  its just a lot to be deleted.  I check my daily recipe.   I check whats new on YOUTube.  I just luv Geriatric27ZakGeorge21 is good too.  He has a dog that does tricks.  Khayav is good too, but he is getting too full of himself.  By now  I am getting an alert from Sugar or Dana to go to their Journals.  I keep up with them regularly.  Now, I am running out of things to do on the puter, so I go into ITunes and update my Ipod.  I have about 600 songs on my Ipod.  What a great invention.  I put it on my ears when I go food shopping and no one bothers me.  Well, its getting late, late for me anyway.  5:00 comes early, so I will talkatchalater.  Oh, here is a picture I just love.  Of course I like all pictures with animals.    Nite Nite!

Saturday

Wooops, Now football is on.  Playoffs are starting.  I will miss not having football in another month.  I didn't feel like staying home and cleaning today, so Joan and I took a little ride.  The only problem, we didn't have  a plan.  We stopped at an antique shop and spent some time  there.  And I spent NO money.  We wound up at Olgas Diner.  Olgas used to be a really good place to stop and eat.  Not anymore!!    It was not good at all and what a waste of money.  I wanted to treat Joan for her birthday, which I did but I wish we could have found a better place.   Oh well, we should have planned better.  And I have such a cold, BLAH!!!!!!  Now SciFi is on.  If he doesn't stop switching that Television.

Sal and I do not agree at all on television programs.  Anything and everything that he watches is someone being tortured.  I cannot stand the constant screams of people in pain.   Why  do men watch that kind of stuff.

So half of my weekend is gone.   And Sundays go so fast.  Mass and then breakfast and before you know it, its time to make supper and go to bed.

New Years Day

Its New Years Day.....and all I can think about is "back to work tomorrow."  Maybe it would be better if I Was working.  It seems I have had some bad days since I have been off for Christmas.  By bad days I  mean Just not feeling well.  Is it because I don't have to get up and go to work.  Maybe thats what people mean when they say "Don't retire."  Cuz there is never enough to do.  I have not really stopped since Dec. 22.  I actually think I relax more when I am working.  I finally got the decorations down.  It took me all day Friday and some of Saturday.  I just could not get moving at a faster pace.  I had an apointment with Dr. Dowd on Thursday.  She prescribed another pill.  this one for High Blood Pressure.  And I think that is what is making me so tired and sleepy.  I never thought I would be taking 9 prescriptions.  I am beginning to feel like my mother.  I am not happy taking this many pills.  But I guess its my own fault.  I let myself gain too much weight and I don't excercise.  So here I am at 63 and a physical wreck!

We went to Mass this morning.  Sal, me and Melody.  And then we went to the Diner for breakfast.   Its a nice sunny, blue sky day but I have not even been outside since we got home.

The Day After Christmas

Well,  Finally it is the day after Christmas.  We had a nice day yesterday.  It was quiet until 4 o clock.  Everybody came in at once.  Melody and the family, Dominic and the family.  And Linda Ceroni, Laural and young Tony.  We ate and ate again.  Then we opened presents.  The kids, of course, were happy with what Santa brought.  They were happy with their Xboxes.  Angelo cried when he opened his retro blue and yellow Eagles Jersey and hat.  I thought he would not let me go.  He almost broke my glasses.  Anthony looks great in his Dallas Jersey.  Today is Wednesday already and Joyce and Bunky stopped for a visit.  They were bringing Benny back home after spending Christmas at their house.  I wish I could help her with Benny but thats not happening.  Well, Sal and Gloriebelle are relaxing over there on the chair so maybe I will get to use the puter tonite.  G'nite to all and Merry Christmas.

Its December 18th already.  Why am I worried.  Cuz I did not get these kids much for Christmas and I am afraid Melody did not either and now I don't know what else to get them.   There is just nothing that is interesting enough.  They are way past most of the toys.  I know what I would like to do.  I would like to take the money and buy them 2 XBox 360.  One for each family.  but I can't even suggest that to Hubby.  He would really freak out.  Oh well, I still have about 6 days to figure this out.

Anthonys Birthday

Wow, here it is December 8 already.  Oh, Melody and I went to a concert last nite at Convention Hall in AC.  I have not been in Convention Hall for many years.  Gosh, when we were kids we used to run around in there.  It brought back memories of ice skating on Saturday mornings on the Ice Capades rink.  Enough of that!  Melody gets tired of me reminiscing about early years in AC.  I  think I used to go tired of  my mother reminiscing about Camden too.  But it was great concert.  Trans Siberian Orchestra.  Hard Rock and a light show.   She was worried that I did not like it but I was ready to stay for more.  It was great.

We had a little birthday thing for Anthony tonite.  He is nine years old now.  We had Subs for supper and then a cake and he opened his presents.  Me and Salvi had a sugar free pie.  Sal took my sugar about a week ago and it was waaaaay to high.  So I have been omitting sugar.  Hey, maybe thats why I never feel too good.  Who Knows??

I had to come up with a new way to get the toilet paper holder in as a present.  I will tell you about that another time.  But guess what I did this time.  I took a picture of it and put it in a folder.  I didn't go over with roars of laughter but Sal has no sense of humor and of course Shane, he is in never never land most of the time.  But I did get a picture of his reaction for another year.

Just kinda wasting the day away

Uh oh,  the last entry was November 12th.  If I do this Journal thing, I better add something more often.  I am still learning how to add things on here.  Went to Shop Rite early this morning.  It was good to get that out of the way.  I can't leave there with less than a $200.00 order anymore.  I keep blaming myself but I thnk it is the same for everyone and the price of food is so high.  Don't feel too good today.  I don't want this Journal to be about me not feeling well all the time but sometimes you can't avoid it.  Some stomach pains.  Now what could that be?

Sal went to a funeral Mass for a little 4 year old on his bus.  She was a sickly little thing with her own private nurse that rode the bus too.  He has become very close with the family.  It seems funny (neat)  that he has acquired his own little life with this bus driving job.  An old school chum from his past is an aide on his bus and they have become very close.  They did not see each other for what?  40 some years and now they are working together.

Oh yeh,  I have a Brisket in the oven.  I never knew how to cook one.  I am not good with cooking beef.  I either make it too well done of not done enough.  But I saw Emeril do one the other nite and I thought I would try it.  It has to cook slowly for 5 hours.

Gonna have a cup of tea and continue to  straighten up this house before he gets back.
