Hello nice people
Donna, from My Country Life just gave me a perfect way to start todays Entry:
It reminds me of a quote from Plato: "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."
Well, yesterday was not a good day. And I still have it in the front of my brain. Mel and SIL wanted to go out to dinner and just chill out for a few hours. Of course, we were asked to watch the kids for a short while. You know, we have one grandson, Nick who has cognitive disabilities.

This is Nick. I took this picture bc I think he looks like Glenn Beck on CNN.
Well Nick had a total meltdown on the front lawn. He does not want Mommy to go anywhere without him. We tried getting him to come into the house but it was no use. And poor Anthony, stood there crying. I said Ant, come in the house. I asked him why HE was crying and he said because I feel sorry for Mommy and Daddy to go thru this. Which made me cry. but I didn't want him to know. Later Mel said she asked him why he was crying and he said I feel sorry for Mom-Mom. This little guy has a lot on his shoulders. Its not easy being the little brother.
Well, nobody went to dinner. Nick knew he was in trouble when he calmed down. And Ant stayed for porkchops.
And thats my story. I have been on this puter for hours in between cooking supper for tonite and also for tomorrow nite. Everyone have a good Monday and week ahead.

sigh........... I'm sorry. The quote is so true. Imagine yourself wrapped in a warm hug!

I'm so sorry Marlene. Kids know how to push all the right buttons and it is especially true of a sick child that we tend to pamper a bit more. Sending big hugs to you my friend.
