Hello Nice People,
WHAT is that Picture up there? Well, I was looking for a way to make a signature that I can use on all of my entrys, and I came across this site where you can put your face on a magazine cover. Now, that picture was taken back in June, and I have a confession to make. Since August 4th, I have lost 35 pounds. Hubby has lost 40. Don't they always lose faster?!. We both really put on excessive pounds, way over what we usually weigh. Too much good living and too much EATING OUT. And, one of my problems is... too many recipes on the internet. I find myself going through food sites and saying "Oooo, I can make THAT, and I can make THAT. And then one day "Uh oh, how did we get this fat? Now don't get me wrong, we have always been overweight. And we both have lost it before. 1985, Hubby lost 90 pounds. Of course it slooowly came back. I have lost 60 pounds more than once. Hopefully, after a lifetime of losing and gaining we have learned our lessons. There IS one drawback with losing weight at this age though. You get wrinkles, boo hoo. Yeh, people always said, " Geez Marlene, you don't have any wrinkles". Well thats because I am/was FAAT!! And the wrinkles are stretched out (LOL). And here is another little tidbit........OK, here it goes......I was a 13 pound baby. How would you like to admit that? And how would you like to be my Mother? Ohhh, she WAS a tough old bird. But that was always one of my excuses "Well I was a 13 pound baby!!!" or "I have big bones." NOT!!!! When I lost weight before, I was stunned to learn that my bones are the same as everyone elses. I feel like I should have started this entry with "Bless me Father for I have sinned." (Its a Catholic thing LOL) In other words, I have just told the world that #1 I am fat.......#2 We eat out too much....#3 I am getting wrinkles etc, etc, etc.
Everyone have a good night.

I know what you mean about wrinkles and losing weight... I lost 20 this spring and quickly gained it back because I didn't like the wrinkles but i know its better not to have all that fat. lol Some day tell us how you are doing this.... I have to but just can't get started again.... lost 60 more than once too

Like your magazine cover. Congrats on the weight loss. I go to Curves three times a week but I'm not trying to lose weight. I like my chocolate candy too much. I'm just hoping its good for my health. Curves not chocolate. lol
ReplyDeleteStill laughing, Marlene. Fat sure can get sneaky especially during the summer. I put on a pair of long pants during this cool spell and I'm wondering how they got so small hanging in the closet since spring :).........
ReplyDeleteyup...you get wrinkkles...and saggy arms..flabby belly...but they tell me I am healthier!!!! not sure which I cared for ... the before or the after...actually in pics I cannot really tell the difference...but can in my clothes...I hate exercising...so that is not a good thing...but I am glad you are doing well..and love your "magazine pic idea'... until later...hugs from Ora in KY
ReplyDeleteLove, love your mag. cover. Too cool. I am also 'big boned' (NOT) and have been for several years now. Did some serious yo-yo dieting myself and now, like you am trying to take off a few lbs. and add a few wrinkles. My problem is not cooking, but living alone and eating too much junk food (but it's so good). Good luck to us both.

Wow, congrats Marlene on losing that weight and your husband too!!! We are trying to watch what we eat too but it so hard!! Love your baby pic. : )
ReplyDeleteooooh I'm so with you, I was a 12 lb baby and I like not having too many wrinkles, butttttttttt.. I don't like being fat, so I've decided the wrinkles will look really cool with all my white hair...giggle
