Hello Nice People,
Another celebrity has left the room. That's the third this week. Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and the King of Pop himself. I never could quite understand just what "POP" is. Another word for soda? The sound that champagne makes when you "pop" the cork? It's sad to lose your life at 50. Especially when you have everything to live for. It just proves that money does not bring happiness.
I love the media. Since yesterday at 2 PM we have been overwhelmed with Michael Jackson. According to the media, the world is trying to come to grips with this death. They say we are in a hysterical frenzy. Hmmmm, I just let the cat out and all is quiet on my street. However Michael, I hope you have found the peace you were always looking for.
I kept my dental appointment. Glad thats over. They said the last time I was there was in 1995. Ooooo, thats bad. But 0ddly enough, very little tarter on my teeth. Now, Hubby goes every three months for a cleaning, he has so much tarter. Somehow, I think I am ahead of the game.

Glad you were brave and now I hope I can be on July 29th. I've been kind of disappointed there has been so much about Michael and we've hardly heard anything about Farrah Fawcett. As far as I know she was a good person.
ReplyDeleteMoney doesn't buy happiness, but - judging by those before & after photos of Michael Jackson - it can sure buy a helluva new nose! I avoid going to the dentist if at all possible. The fee is even more painful than the drill.....
ReplyDeleteUgh, the last time I went to the dentist it was over $2000! I don't mind going but with bills like that (up front naturally) keeps me away.
ReplyDeleteSad about Michael Jackson and Farrah and Ed and even David Carradine. I feel for their families and friends, but I'm not really having to come to grips regarding their deaths is a little much! I agree with you!
:)
Marlene...I saw your pretty, smiling, happy face and I just had to stop in and see who you are!
ReplyDeleteBoy...am I glad I did. I got the laugh of my life when I saw that hippo in that thong....HYSTERICAL! I'm laughing my non-thonged bohunk off right now!
About the passing of the "icons"...
It is troubling to me. Not a word from any media source about their faith in God or life after all the glitz and glamour. I hope and pray that all three, Mr. Ed, Ms. Farrah & Mr. Micahael have all found the peace the'd searched for so long as well.
Life is short. I turned 50 in December and now I'm 50 1/2. The same age as MJackson... I'm sooo thankful that fame didn't pass my way....I love being a "nobody".
Blessings to you...LOVE YOUR BLOGGIE!
