Hello Nice People,
Here's a new picture of me just to prove that I am not dead. Just missing in action for a while. I HAVE noticed that the longer time I stay MIA, the harder it is to get back. I don't know why. It's not like I have a lot of readers who are losing sleep worrying about my whereabouts. I think I am an "avoider."
If I'm not keeping up with what is expected of me, I will avoid the whole scene. So that means, I haven't even clicked in here for almost a month. I haven't even kept up with other blogs. But I DID checkout FACEBOOK. I said I wouldn't do it. Said I wouldn't get involved in something so dumb. But I did. How did that happen? I guess it was a moment of weakness. And I'm still not convinced its "all that."
I have been back to work for 3 weeks. Somehow, I acquired a loooong run again this year. Three hours of driving in the AM and another 3 in the PM. With just a short sprint inbetween. June is coming!!!! And I have two and a half years and I am outathere!!!!
Grandson, Nick had a birthday on Thursday. Somehow, he has turned 14 years old.
These pictures are from Wednesday night when we visited his classroom. Nick goes to a school for the handicapped. Nick has Apraxia of Speech, Family Start Guide - Apraxia-KIDS Which causes him to have almost no communication skills. He signs, uses a talker device, and also a younger brother who is his interprteter, sometimes not voluntarily. In all, he gets his point across.
The past few weeks also contained 2 yard sales. With 1 more to go at a friends house next weekend. I have been tripping over 42 years of crapola that we drug down from the attic. I DID learn one thing at these yard sale events. And that is that what I thought was fantastic stuff. Stuff that I thought I would never part with, stuff that I had been holding onto for years, other people couldn't care less for it. So no matter how much it means to us, to other people it is only junk and not worth $2.00.
I feel like I am rambling in this post, so I think I will say

i'm on fb too, but don't care for it. not into all the games, etc. i do have a little virtual doggie, i take care of it, but that's all.

ReplyDeleteI found that all of my hoarded "treasures", once sold or thrown away, have no place in my fond memory file.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, After I have rid myself of these treasures, I stop by yard sales and acquire new ones. Go figure!
