Hello Nice People,
We had a snow day today. What a treat. Its good to NOT have to get out there and fight the ice and bad roads at 6 o’clock in the morning. Early morning driving is the scariest kind in the bad weather. Curves and corners always seem to be the worst spots.
Snow days always feel like you are getting away with something. Like when you were a little kid and skipped a day of school, then went out anyway. Thats what I did today. Went to the Supermarket, stopped at my girlfriends house and solved some family problems over a cup of coffee and a “Hello Dollie Cookie.” Well, maybe not solved, but discussed thoroughly.
Its a good thing it was so cold today. We got so involved in our conversation that I forgot I had meat and milk out in the car. All was OK.
HELLO DOLLIE COOKIES
1 stick of butter (melted)
1and a half cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
1and a half cups chopped nuts
1 6oz package chocolate chips
1and half cups coconut
1 can condensed milk drizzled.
Layer in a large oval pan starting with the butter. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Let cool and slice into squares.
Christmas is 4 days away.

I believe your area got way more snow then we did. We ended up with 10-12. YUK!
