A Snow Day For Me
Hello Nice People,
We had a snow day today. What a treat. Its good to NOT have to get out there and fight the ice and bad roads at 6 o’clock in the morning. Early morning driving is the scariest kind in the bad weather. Curves and corners always seem to be the worst spots.
Snow days always feel like you are getting away with something. Like when you were a little kid and skipped a day of school, then went out anyway. Thats what I did today. Went to the Supermarket, stopped at my girlfriends house and solved some family problems over a cup of coffee and a “Hello Dollie Cookie.” Well, maybe not solved, but discussed thoroughly.
Its a good thing it was so cold today. We got so involved in our conversation that I forgot I had meat and milk out in the car. All was OK.
HELLO DOLLIE COOKIES
1 stick of butter (melted)
1and a half cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
1and a half cups chopped nuts
1 6oz package chocolate chips
1and half cups coconut
1 can condensed milk drizzled.
Layer in a large oval pan starting with the butter. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes. Let cool and slice into squares.
Christmas is 4 days away.

I am such a slacker
Hello Nice People,
I could go on and on here about where I have been and why I haven’t had an entry for such a long time. I could say its because my life has been filled up with really important things. Or I could say that its only because the cat was sleeping on my computer chair. Neither is true. I am such a slacker. An avoider. A “don’t face the problem” kind of person. Sure, I can’t think of anything to put into MY Blog, so I avoid everyone elses too. I have missed so much. Like whats happening over at My Southern Home with Sonya and the teen and little Tugie. And I’ve missed Sugar and her little doggie Sweetpee. And Donna and Cliff, what are they up too lately? I I Don’t know because I have avoided all blogs. Kind of like hiding behind a tree when you don’t want anyone to see you. And Peggy at A Primitive Plot, what is she cooking and whats the latest doll she is making. And Linda from Wahington, how could I avoid her blog? I love her travelogs. And Kelly, whats going on in her world of chickens? Today, I am facing my problem. No longer am I an “avoider.” I am here, and I am going to read and comment on all the Blogs I have missed. I feel better already!!

THINGS I SEE ON MY ROUTE
