Gotta get back on the Wagon

Hello Nice People,

See this cat.....thats what I will be looking like if I don't get back on my diet. I shouldn't call it a diet, its a weigh of life. Hubby and I have lost 60 pounds apiece. But just like on past diets, I have fallen off the wagon. Gotta get back on, gotta get back on, gotta get back on, before the wagon leaves me in the dust. Thats what happened to Oprah and Kirsty Alley. She gained back 83 pounds. Skinny people wonder how that can possibly happen. Well, believe me it can. Whenever I lose weight and then gain it back, I always add another 10 or so pounds. Thats why they say if we didn't diet, we would be thin.

Today was another rainy, nasty day. We have had more rain in the past few weeks than I can begin to tell about. We planted a few tomato plants, and they are beginning to turn yellow from too much rain. It has NOT been a nice spring!

After Mass , we spent the morning and early afternoon inside. I thought it was pretty much a lost day due to the rain. Around 3 o'clock the rain stopped and Hubby said "Let's take a ride to WalMart." Shoulda stayed home! Between Walmart and a stop at Sam's, it was a $200.00 day. The most expensive thing was ink for my printer. Why does INK cost so darn much? I also wanted to stock up on ORANGE DRINK. The Wal Mart brand of Crystal Light in ORANGE is absolutly the best. It's $1.78 for a can of 6 little tubs. When they have it, I get 10 cans (that'll last a week or so.) But someone else must like it cause its usually sold out. Just the flat boxes that they put on the shelves are left. Then we stopped at a nice little restaurant for a late lunch or early supper. I don't care what you call it, as long as I didn't have to cook it. No Carbs, gotta get back on that wagon, so we had an Anti-pasta salad. No bread, boo-hoo. Actually, I would have cheated if Hubby was not with me. But, Oh well!!! Hubby does not cheat. He is as honest as the day is long. Isn't that how it goes? Annnnd, Granddaughters boyfriend is the delivery boy at this place. When we got the bill, the waitress said that Mike took off 15% as a little gift to Grandmom and Grandpop. Now, this kid is a long hair, scraggly beard, looks like he would rob you blind in an alley kind of character. But he has always been polite and pleasant anytime I have seen him. It just shows, you can't judge a book by its cover.

The weekend is drawing to a close. Back on the road early tomorrow morning. Everyone have a good week and I will talkatchalater.

  4. That is just what I would like to know!!! Why does ink cost sooo much!! Cost me around $70 just for ink. I have decided to buy a new printer and get the ink free! lol That is almost the cost of a new printer. That cat is too funny!! lol Hope you have a wonderful holiday. Janie

  5. Love your cat, looks a lot like my Paris (size-wise). About ink, I bought a Kodak Esp all-in-one to save money on ink. I had lots of problems for awhile but they sent me a new unit and looks like this one is going to be better, it makes lots of strange noises though and I am not sure that altho the ink is cheap, you don't use more of it. Seems like you can't win, however the ink is $22.oo for the combo pak and I was paying like $70 before. I will say they have been good about sending what I needed, no questions asked. Happy Sunday
