Hello Nice People,
I have been hooked this week on the Court TV Channel. Its now called TRU TV. Channel 71 here. There was a terrible accident in September of 2006 here at the Jersey Shore. A Local State Trooper, chasing a speeder, ran a stop sign and killed two teenage girls who were out picking up a gallon of milk for their grandmother. Robert Higbee, a 6 foot 5 inch, trooper is charged with 2 counts of vehicular homicide and could get 20 years if he is found guilty. This story has been riveting in this area. The 2 girls were also the only children of the Principal of the local grade school. of course, she is in the courtroom and your heart bleeds for her and her loss. But at the same time, this man did not set out to kill two young girls that night.
In the very beginning, there was a lot of doubt as to whether there was actually a speeder that he was chasing. But after a few days, it seems that a teenager at the high school could not keep his mouth shut and told friends that he was the speeder. Some people are saying that it was a tragic accident and he will live with this the rest of his life. Others say that cops have a "better than us attitude" and he should pay with jail time. The trials resumes from Cape May on Monday and Higbee might take the stand. Riveting!!!

  1. The person speeding away so be held in those girls death, not the police officer.

Hope you have a good weekend.

  2. I looked for this on our TV schedule but don't think we have it, guess I could call my cable company and find out for sure. This is a tragic situation, Jodi Piccoult could write a good book about it. I would like to know how it turns out, maybe you could let us know on a post. Have a good and safe week.
