The Price of living today

HELLO nice people,

It has been a rainy, dreary day.  I went food shopping early this morning and got back just before a downpour.  The rest of the day, I have pretty much spent on this computer.  And I really enjoyed it.  Hubby gave up the puter for Lent.  The only thing he does is play cards on the disk.  He doesn't have a clue how to get on the internet.  So I have had my computer pretty much to myself.

I have been trying to put some pictures in here but it keeps coming up "Your File Could Not Be Uploaded."  What the h--- does that mean?    Well like Gilda Radnor said, "It's always something."

Food Shopping........I spent $269.00.  Has anyone else noticed how prices have risen.  It is completely nuts.  $4.29 for 18 eggs.  $3.59 for a loaf of bread.  A gallon of gas is now OVER  $3.00.  At this rate, we should drink it.  It is getting really scary.  And there is only two of us here.  I feel bad for the families who have kids.  We all know how fast kids can go through food.   And no-one complains.  It seems that 20 or 25 years ago people would be sceaming about the prices.  But people today seem to lay back and accept whatever is thrown at them.

Still can't upload any pictures or cute graphics.  So I will have to say "Good Nite."

  1. AOL is having all sorts of problems.  Even pictures that are already loaded aren't showing up.  We are getting Red X alot.  E-Mail and blogs were down for a while too.  Hopefully things will be back to normal soon

  2. I hate to go to the grocery any more.  It's outrageous.  I usually shop at "Save-a-Lot", but even they have gotten high on everything.
I'm glad you are enjoying your computer while hubby isn't playing cards.  I have been taking classes in PSP so I may soon be able to do all kinds of tags myself.  It's so much fun and not near as scary as I expected it to be...LOL.  Enjoy your puter while you can.

  4. I finally gave up trying to put pics in through aol. Sometimes they came through but most times not. I put my pics on Photobucket and never have a problem. Animation comes through, too.  Yeah, the groceries are just like everything else going up, up and up. Not much one can do about it.......alice
