Hello Nice People,
It is a beautiful Saturday here at the Jersey Shore. However, when I went out this morning the heavy smell of smoke is in the air. I had to pick up Grandson Nick at the handicap riding stables and it was thicker there yet. I don't know what it is. There must a forest fire somewhere. Antny, the little guy was here when I got back. He rode his bike over from home. As soon as I looked at him I could tell the smoke was affecting his asthma. He knows more about it than I do. Mom mom, I think I'll go home and use my nebulizer cause I am having a hard time breathing. At nine, he is pretty self sufficient.
Poor hubby.....I decided we should buy a decent outdoor grill.
I get these ideas and then he is the one who has to put the darn thing together. Why don't they come with at least some of it put together. The whole big box was nothing but bolts and sheet metal. He has been working on it since early this morning. And he is the type that has to go exactly by the directions. God forbid there is an extra screw left over.

I don't think there will be any hamburgers on the grill tonite.
On another note, yesterday was Graduation day at Special Services School. I spent the whole hour an a half with tears running down my face. And I don't even have anyone graduating. Except of course my bus kids. You really can get attached to these kids when you spend 3 or 4 hours a day with them. I think I know more about them than their own parents know.
Well, time to go move some furniture off the deck so we can fit this grill out there. Uh oh! hold your ears cuz now he can't find the handle screws.
Talkatchalater,
Marlene

Hope hubby gets it all fixed together with no leftover bits. I have seen the air turn blue here when something like that happens.

Hoipng hubby gets the grill together so you can grill out tomorrow. :) I hate that things can't come partially assembled, so hard for someone like me.

I loved the little girl picture; so true to come to Jesus with a child's heart
ReplyDeletehoping your hubby got the grill together; it looks like a great one; we got a new one about a month ago, it said less than an hour to put it together, took over 3 hours for us to do so, but it was fun; you can read about it here if you are interested

I hope your husband has a nice Father's Day tomorrow
I would have been crying too at the graduation; my nephew has Down Syndrome so I have a soft spot for special kids
I hope your grand son got out of that smoke. Asthma is just awful; my first two had it until they got much older in their teens. Good looking grill and I bet you all will really enjoy it for years to come......alice
ReplyDeleteBeing a parent of a special young man, I know how you feel about your bus kids. I used to volunteer in the classroom and I couldn't help but become attached to those kids...so innocent, so pure at heart.
