HELLO NICE PEOPLE
I hope everyone is having a BEEUTIFUL Sunday afternoon. Oh, and I hate this Photobucket. It takes me one and a half hours or more to load 5 pictures into an email to use in my Journal. This is worse than having dial-up.
Otherwise, today wa a fine day. We usually go to 9:30 Mass on Sunday and then to the Sub shop for breakfast. But son called and said "Come to Angelos ice hockey game." Well, that means going to Mass at 6 o'clock tonight instead.

After the ice hockey game in Atlantic city we took a ride through town, to check out a city just waking up. Hey, why don't we go to St. Mikes 11 o'clock Mass? St Mike's is where hubby went to school......I went to Our Lady Star of the Sea, which is 3 blocks away.
We haven't been to St Mikes for years and years. Walking into church was like taking a step back in time. It is the most beautiful church and where we got married years ago.

Thankfully, I had my camera with me and took this picture. I know,... us crazy Catholics and our statues. (LOL) I don't know why we don't come over here more often. But we just do whats easiest and go to our neighborhood church. We even met a few people that we went to school with and haven't seen for years. Sheesh, they're all OLD FOLKS.
After Mass, we called Daughter, Melody and met her and Nick for lunch. After a stop at a pizza joint, we went to Nicks baseball game at The Field of Dreams. This is where the handicapped kids play baseball. There are kids in wheelchairs and walkers and kids that CAN run the bases. they use a "Buddy System where each kid has a buddy to show them how to bat the ball and which way to go.

Ice Hockey was sooo cold I needed a jacket and Buddy Ball was so hot in the sun that it was almost unbearable. So it was a good day. And now, fried potatoes and onions and hot dogs........I am taking it easy.

What a beautiful church interior! Love your changing billboard sign graphic. I need to figure out how to do that kind of stuff. Sounds like you had a great Sunday. Just barely 4:30pm here in Washington. so still have part of the day left. Linda in WA
ReplyDeleteThat was a full day and sounds like fun. Marlene, why don't you try Flickyr for photos as it is right on the entry page. It's easy for me and I have dial-up. I do use Photobucket and Imageshack for animated ones. I use the old Photobucket and do one at a time and it's faster than trying to do a lot at one time. I tried that and got nowhere......alice
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures Marlene. Thanks for sharing. I don't know why you have so much trouble with photo bucket. I can load a bunch of pix in a couple of minutes. Hmmmm? Have a good week.
