Hello Nice People,

 

                      I Know,  I have been bad.  Have not had an entry for 2 weeks.  Actually, I have been vacationing in Dubai.

 

NOT!!!!!!!!!!!

But I DO have a relative who went there for a vacation.  Or so she says.  How do I know, she may have hid out behind Wal Mart for two weeks.  I just cannot imagine going to this place for vacation.  But apparently it is becoming very popular.  And I find the place fascinating from afar.  I keep watching the progress they are making on that hotel, the Burj Dubai.

 

Burj Dubai Official Website    But as for vacations,  that is not for us.  We don't really go anywhere.  We are not travelers.  I enjoy just being at home.  I would rather spend the money on things for the house. 

     We are on a diet.  We haven't dieted for a looong time and have let things get out of control.  Hubby has been having a difficult time keeping his Sugar down, and I was beginning to show some signs of high sugar.  So it is time to get back on the horse and pay attention to what we are eating.  so we are doing the low carb thing.  It has been two weeks and we have both lost 8 pounds each.   Lots more to go.

      Summer is winding down and I have 2 weeks and a 3 day weekend and back to the old grind.  I'm  not looking forward to going back to work.

School start September 3rd. 

But everyone says if I retire, I will be bored.   So I will give it another 2 or 3 years.

         I am watching Michael Phelps and his mother  being interviewed.  He is telling stories of how he was always bullied and picked on throughout his life.  Well  to everyone that picked on this kid,  he can finally say "PFFFFT."

     As I sit here typing,  It is getting dark out and I  can hear hubby outside splitting firewood.   The chain saw has gone silent so I better go and check on him.   He is probably finished for the night.
