Early morning darkness

Hello Nice People,

Look at this tree face. Isn't it the cutest. The Grandkids bought this for us and proudly presented it last night. Daughter said, "Mom. we ordered this before the Vick thing." Well yeh, but these two old folks are already committed to not watching Eagles Football as long as sick Vick is part of the team. It won't be easy. We look forward to Sundays in front of the TV watching Eagles football. But we will just have to move on. Maybe New York Giants.......nah, can't do that. I know, Dallas Cowboys......nope, never. Oh well, maybe we'll take a walk. Thats healthier anyway.

I am typing this at 5 AM. What happened? I just peeked outside and its STILL DARK OUT THERE!!! Oh no!!! You know what that means, days are getting shorter. The Summer is coming to an end. Tell me its not happening. It was just two weeks ago that I got up at 5 and sat in the back yard on the deck IN THE SUNSHINE!

Temps are still in the nineties, at least for another few days. We have Hurricane Bill out there in the Atlantic. He should cool things off by the weekend. Luckily, he is taking a turn North and should miss the coast by a few hundred miles. We will only get the rough surf.

Yesterday was a beautiful day and perfect for the Atlantic City Air Show. Favorite relatives and friends Bunk and Joyce stayed overnite so they could see the Airshow. I think they enjoyed it even though it was ungodly hot on the beach and soooo crowded.

Well, I am off to get a few things done around here. Everyone have a good day and stay cool.

Life is good!

  1. Good Morning Marlene: Its still hot here too and I'm so ready for fall although we don't have much of that and sometime not much winter. Like your tree face. I've always admired those in the little catalogs I get but my trees are no large enough. Have a good day!

  3. I was wondering what you thought about Vick coming to the Eagles. Personally I think it is and will be a huge mistake on their part. The face is cute nevertheless. I was thinking of driving down to OC to try and shoot some of the waves ~ supposed to be rough Saturday from Bill.

  5. I'll forgive you on the Eagles tree thing! LOL

Who would ever have thought anyone would sign Vick anyway!

We were lucky with hurricane Bill. If he would have headed for land, it would have been our part of the east coast!

    Have a good Friday!
