Hello Nice People,
Wow, what a rain storm we had today. All the thunder and lightning you could ever want.....or not want. Little doggie Gloriebelle will never be the same. She has been shaking since it started. And then, the electricity went out. Its funny how you don't think about the electricity until you don't have it. Within the first 60 seconds of no electric, I almost put something into the microwave, (oops), turned on the kitchen light, (oops), tried to light the stove, (oops), tried to call Melody to see if they had elec. (oops). Well, I may as well forget supper for a while and go sit down in the front porch where there is plenty of daylight. The tragic part for Hubby is OMG, no TV!!!!!!!! What will he do for the next, who knows, hour and a half.?!!!! What do men do when there is no TV??? Sulk and panic. One hour and 45 minutes and it was back on. I was a little concerned because I was on the puter when everything went out and the computer went black. I don't think its good to just shut down like that. But here I am and everything seems to be back in order.
I was checking out some Youtube videos and came across a gentlemen who is losing weight on Low Carbs. His name is Jimmy Moore and his videos are called LivingLaVidaLoCarb. He sounds so good that it makes me want to get us on that LowCarb thing again. We tried it years ago when Dr. Atkins was pushing it, but I was not serious enough about it. Maybe its time to try it again.
Well, Monday is coming fast. Gloriebelle just turned in for the night. She wore herself out shaking from the storm. And I have to go reset all he clocks. Everyone have a Good Night.
Marlene

Have a good week!

At the first sign of thunder I always turn off and unplug my puter. Too much stuff on here to lose it to a storm. OMG, I would cry. Glad your's is OK. I tried the Atkins diet once (low carb) and did lose weight on it. The trouble is staying on a diet like that AND it's very expensive for all that meat...lol.

I think you got the rain they predicted for the north west. I'm mad because we didn't get any and we need it. Everything is so dry. But am glad we didn't have the lightening & thunder...I'll take my rain plain, please. We wouldn't make good pioneers...a couple hours with no power & we're all going crazy. Linda in no rain western Washington
ReplyDeletePoor doggie, I hope she forgets it really soon. I think maybe all the eve storms we had been having might have been the reason my other pc is waiting for another part to be put in when they find a serviceman to do the work. Hopefully that will be it. Oh, and poor hubby, hope he gets over the loss of the electricity really soon:)..........alice
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for the animals. Mine was afraid too. Be careful with the low carb thing. It can be very dangerous depending on your health. It is a great diet for diebetics, but not so great for heart patients or those with high colesterol.

I've never had a dog scared of storms. Poor Gloriebelle (I love that name). We need rain so bad. We're in a drought with the temps in the 90's - 100's. Since my Dad is on oxygen, we're on notice with the electric company for our electricity to be turned back on ASAP. I think the longest we were out (besides Hurricane Ivan which was 2 days) was 1.5 hrs. They're quick around here. It's usually on within a few minutes. Have a good night.

Yes, I know how it is to have a scared of the storms dog. I have tried so many different things to keep her calm. I finally just gave up and crate her while it goes on. At least that way she doesnt tear things up trying to get away from the storm. LOL...oh no, no tv! I guess you needed to calm him down from shaking too after that. ;) Kelly
ReplyDeleteOooo er I'm not good in storms glad I wasn't there lol ;) So glad the computer is fine after the shutdown xx
